## The essentials

Devlab develops iOS and Android apps for consumers, businesses and public services. Sport, events, everyday shopping and travel: our projects support practical uses across French Polynesia.

## Apps you may already use.

Sport, travel, everyday shopping, municipal information and agriculture: seven mobile projects by Devlab in French Polynesia.

## from the first user journey to release

- **Mobile design and UX** : Identify users, design screens and test priority journeys before building the full set of features.
- **iOS and Android apps** : Build for your users’ phones, with relevant features such as maps, notifications, camera access or offline use, depending on the project.
- **Backend and administration** : Connect accounts, content and data to a backend and administration tools. Integrate existing services where their APIs allow it.
- **Release and maintenance** : Prepare tests and store submissions, then agree on error monitoring, updates and ongoing development in the contract.

## decisions we make with you

- **A defined first release** : For a startup, marketplace or booking service, we scope the user journey that must work at launch and agree on acceptance criteria.
- **Use across the islands** : Available phones, connectivity, language and data usage shape the design. The Taputapuātea audio guide demonstrates our experience with offline mobile apps.
- **Planning beyond launch** : The quote covers source code ownership, access to publishing accounts, hosting and maintenance. We discuss these terms at the start.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which mobile apps has Devlab developed?

Devlab developed ito ito, Beedr, Panier Futé for the DGAE, Air Tahiti, the Taputapuātea audio guide and Ville de Punaauia. We also co-developed the harvest forecasting app with CAPL’s technical team, documented in 2020. Each project page explains our role and links to its sources.

### Who created the itoito app?

Devlab handled the initial creation of ito ito, mobile app, front-end and backend development, and maintenance. The solution was subsequently sold to SAS Itoito. This project forms part of Devlab’s mobile development history.

### Do you build consumer apps for iPhone and Android?

Yes. Beedr and Panier Futé are available on both the App Store and Google Play. We also work on startup, booking and community platform projects with a defined scope.

### How much does mobile app development in Tahiti cost?

The budget depends on user journeys, platforms, backend, integrations and ongoing support. We quote these items after scoping. The proposal separates initial development, third-party services and maintenance.

### Do you use React Native and Expo?

Yes. React Native and Expo are part of our mobile stack for iOS and Android development. Technology choices depend on the app’s features, integrations and maintenance requirements.

### Can an app work offline?

Yes, for features designed for offline use. The Taputapuātea audio guide provides access to its tour without a connection. For other projects, we define what data stays on the phone and which operations need synchronisation.

### Do you work with clients elsewhere in the Pacific?

Yes. Our team works from Tahiti in French and English. Collaboration, user testing and publication requirements are organised for the country and project concerned.
